NOW That’s What I Call A Comeback

NOW That’s What I Call Music! 48 was released back in 2001 on Mini Disc, CD and… Cassette. Theres no denying it’s got a killer tracklist, featuring gems from Atomic Kitten, S Club 7, Hear Say, Gorillaz and Britney Spears; it’s been 16 years since its release, so why has it suddenly had a resurgence?

Well NOW That’s What I Call Music 48 is the soundtrack to BBC Peter Kay’s Car Share. In the show its main character Kayleigh Kitson’s favourite album – theres even an episode entirely dedicated to the discussion of the soundtrack! The compilation also featured in the first episode of the second series which caused a massive spike in sales. So much so, that it even re-entered the Amazon compilation chart despite no longer being in print. Starting prices are still as high as £24 and go up to £50!
